Restaurant POS without monthly fees
Get your financial freedom back
How PagoTaco works?
PagoTaco restaurant POS is a one-time license Microsoft Windows software, and it does not require an internet connection to work.
PagoTaco consists of two applications, Cashier(s) and Kitchen (optional):
1. Cashier POS: The POS application takes the orders from the customer, prints a receipt and shows the current menu on a second monitor. You can have more than one computer accessing the same database. If the database is on the same local network, there is not need of internet access. To connect more than one POS computer you need Wi-Fi or LAN connection.
The POS software has two ways to take customer orders:
- As "Fast-Food" - The customer pays his/her order and waits to be called to pick it up.
- As "Restaurant with waiters" - The waiter takes the customer order first and then the customer pays the tab at the end.
The POS software can group different menus (each group with its own menu). This way you can have one menu for mornings and another menu for afternoons.
2. Kitchen Comanda: The second application is optional, and it can be used in the kitchen to see the customer orders. You need a dedicated computer for this. People in the kitchen can scroll and call the orders by different ways:
- Using the computer mouse
- Pressing a floor pedal (Handsfree)
- Via touch screen
The UI is in Spanish only, and it is very easy to use. This computer in the kitchen displays the finished order on a different monitor and it can show the menu as well (Optional).
No Monthly Payments
PagoTaco restaurant POS is a one-time license software. So, get your financial freedom back and improve your cash flow.
Saves Time
Very easy to use. The orders are taken with just a few clicks. The order can be printed in detail, or just the order number, or not printed at all.
Sales Trends
PagoTaco shows how many items each group has sold. The totals report can be filter by date and it can be printed as well.
Who can use it?
PagoTaco was designed to be used by restaurants. However, it can be used on community halls like churches where different group of volunteers get together to sell food. Each group of volunteers can have their own menu with its own password. The fact that the menu items can be grouped, allows PagoTaco to be used not just on restaurants but also on small business that would like to keep some inventory control of the items they sell.
PagoTaco Cost
PagoTaco costs $250CAD for each computer it is installed (Normally just one POS is required). This cost is one time payment, and you don't have to pay monthly or yearly fees. The kitchen software Comanda is free.
If PagoTaco is never purchased, a message will pop-up every time it is used. Once the software is purchased, this message will not longer be shown, and you are going to be able to create groups. Also, you are going to be able to print the company details on the customer receipt.
Once the software is purchased, the license never expires on its installed computer. However, if you change computers, the license is not longer going to work. And a new key will be required. If this is the case, then there will be a $50CAD charge for the new software key to be generated.

About Us
Most weekends in the parish that I used to attend; food was sold after each mass to rise founds for the church. A different group of people was in charge of preparing and selling the food each weekend. At the end of the mass, most people used to rush to get first in line to order food. The cashier after receiving the payment, wrote on a piece of paper the order by hand, and gave the piece of paper to the customer. The customer then ran towards the kitchen and tried to get his/her order to the people in the kitchen so they can prepare the food.
In the kitchen there was a lot of hungry people trying to hand over their order to the cook, so the cook could start preparing the food. Normally, the person with the longest arm was the one handing over the order slip first and there was no respect for whoever got there first.
Seeing all this disorder, I thought of making a computer program to organize the food selling in that parish. That's how PagoTaco was born. Now, after 18 years, it still being used in the same community.
